DESCRIPTION
Join Meaghan, Food Alchemist and co-owner/founder of HEX Ferments, in learning the art of kombucha brewing at home. We will cover a brief history of kombucha tea, to brewing the perfect sweet-tea base, bottling and flavoring to get a kombucha that is just the way you like it. She will show you how to use fresh and dried ingredients to make kombucha like you have never tasted before. By the end of class, you will have the basic knowledge of how to home brew your own Kombucha from scratch!

Meaghan Carpenter has been brewing kombucha for 20 years. In 2013, she and her husband started HEX Ferments, a Baltimore based fermented foods company. HEX Ferments specializes in traditionally fermented vegetables and kombucha tea with ingredients scrupulously sourced locally and beyond. She is forever fascinated by the kombucha brewing process and loves teaching others how to make this magical, ancient beverage at home.
