South End Community Meetings 

Residents and community members are invited to hear updates provided by the City of Charlotte, CMPD, Charlotte Center City Partners, and more on a variety of topics.

Upcoming Meetings:

August 3 - On Street Parking South End business owners and stakeholders are invited to the Urban Design Center on 8/3 at 10am to learn about changes to on-street parking from CDOT. RSVP HERE!

August 10 - South End Light Rail Station South End residents and stakeholders are invited to the Urban Design Center on 8/10 from 4:30-6:40pm to learn about the development of a new light rail station in South End, led by the Project Team from Charlotte Area Transportation Systems. RSVP HERE!

August 17 - Property Taxes in South EndJoin the City of Charlotte as they explain changes to property taxes coming to South End. The meeting will be held virtually on 8/17 at 10am. RSVP HERE!

Past Meetings:

May 19 - Camden Road/Tremont Intersection - CDOT and Charlotte Center City Partners shared an update on the study of the Camden Road-Tremont intersection, including a pilot to make the intersection right-turn only for southbound traffic on Camden, and the pilot season of Camden Commons programming on Camden Road. Charlotte Water also shared updates on Phase 11 of the South Boulevard Water Main replacement project and a new system for real-time alerts from Charlotte Water.  View the recording of the meeting, below. Walk the Block with Charlotte Mecklenburg Police Department 

You can walk the block with Officer Justin Davies and Officer Brad Hall, South End's Community Coordination Officers, every Wednesday at 12:00 pm starting at the corner of West Worthington and Camden Rd (outside of the Design Center).
