With protests against social injustice taking hold around the country, the arts festival BOOM Charlotte felt it was important for artists to share their perspective through their work.
In partnership with BLK MRKT CLT, Charlotte Is Creative, and The Roll Up; BOOM Charlotte put out a call for art addressing social injustice back in June.
On Saturday, July 11 art from multiple disciplines will be put on display online to talk about the issues in the Art:Now Series.
Act I is filled with work form spoken word artists, filmmakers, musicians, visual artists, writers, and dancers. The show will be hosted by Emmy Award winning poet Bluz.
