The Fairy Ring Light was commissioned by EDENS in 2021 as a permanent installation. Meredith Connelly is the artist behind the piece, having created a temporary version for the 2021 I Heart Rail Trail: Lights festival that was so loved it became a permanent fixture at Atherton Mill.
The Fairy Ring lights consist of dozens of mushrooms that seem to sprout from the ground at the Atherton Mill lawn. They are lit every night.
