Calling all creatives! Join AIA Charlotte and the Queer Design Collaborative for an open design charrette exploring how the built environment can foster connection, creativity, and belonging for LGBTQIA+ community members and anyone seeking community in Charlotte.
Charrettes are collaborative design workshops that bring residents, stakeholders, students, and professionals together to explore challenges and develop creative solutions. This series invites emerging designers and professionals to discuss opportunities for creating more inclusive public spaces throughout Charlotte.
Building on an earlier session with UNC Charlotte design students, this charrette will explore three proposed sites as opportunities to develop and replicate inclusive design across the city.
Bring your ideas, experiences, and favorite sketching materials to help shape a collective vision for more inclusive, community-centered spaces.
Refreshments will be provided!
