Explore local shops, restaurants and breweries and find holiday gifts at this one-day-only pop-up market. The festival features 200 local shops, 70 places to eat and drink, holiday music, a festive atmosphere, and free trolley rides throughout the district. Maps and free shopping totes will be up for grabs throughout the neighborhood. At sundown, join the crowd for the South End Tree Lighting at Atherton Mill.
Park anywhere, rideshare, scootershare or ride in on the light rail: we’ve got you covered so you can leave your car and spend the day carefree. Park once and then hop on one of the free trolleys to get around the district from shop to shop.
Stop #1: New Bern Station, 2905 Griffith Street. New this year, this festival hub will be full of great food, beverages, and places to hang out. Here you’ll find Suffolk Punch, Triple C Brewing and Eight and Sand Kitchen in addition to ample attendee parking and a few pop-up shops in the alley between Suffolk Punch and Norfolk Hall. Parking is available at Bradham Apartments.
Stop #2: Dudeapalooza, 2525 Distribution Street. Jon Wilson, of WCCB’s Wilson’s World fame, hosts his annual Dudeapalooza pop-up on Small Business Saturday. Stop in at Alchemy at C3 Lab for gifts for the dudes in your life, supporting local businesses that make “everything but potpourri”, and the artists and artisans of the C3 Lab makerspace and creative community. Parking is available on-street and in the lots along Distribution Street.
Stop #3: Camden Road, from 1500 Camden to Novel Atherton at 2100 South Boulevard. This usually bustling main street of South End gets an added boost with more than 150 pop-up shops to become the best shopping street in Charlotte. Stretching from Atherton to Park Ave, shoppers can explore delicious food, hot coffee and drinks, and shopping from gift mainstays like Girl Tribe, 704 Shop, Candlebar and Adair Boutique. You are also steps away from great restaurants and two of South End’s breweries: Sycamore and Wooden Robot. Limited parking is available on-street, and plentiful parking in the public decks in the area: at Novel Atherton, the Design Center deck, and 1616 Camden (enter from Kingston Ave.)
Stop #4: Lincoln Street transforms into a holiday wonderland. Holiday shopping, music, photo-ops, gingerbread cookies and a gingerbread house competition, along with a visit from Santa and costumed characters from the Gold District of South End. Parking is available on-street nearby and in the lot at S. Mint and Quincey. Start at 1327 Mint Street or 1320 S Church Street.
