Craft Tasting Room & Growler Shop, South End’s original craft beer bar destination, is thrilled to host the inaugural South End GirlGate on December 17th, 10 am - 1 pm – a female-focused Panthers tailgate event. Merging the love for craft beer and cocktail culture with the fervor for football, “South End GirlGate'' promises an unforgettable pre-game celebration tailored exclusively for female Carolina Panthers fans. The party will feature yard games, a friendship bracelet-making station hosted by CLT Social Club, a Pop-Up Shop collaboration for “limited-release” game day gear with Homewurk and a South End GirlGate Bar with curated food and drinks for purchase to round out the experience. Swag bags will be given to the first 50 females with their first purchase. The event is free.
“Women who are into sports like myself, much too often feel out of place in what can feel like a predominantly male sports fan's world. We wanted to create an event unlike any other where women are able to attend a tailgate without the worry of being judged or need to prove your fanhood” Amanda Britton, Beverage Director for sister concepts Craft Tasting Room and Growler Shop and Lincoln Street Kitchen & Cocktails.

Tailgate activities will be equipped with yard games like cornhole, bucket pong, a braid bar, a friendship bracelet-making station hosted by CLT Social Club, and a Pop-Up Shop collaboration for “limited-release” game day gear with Homewurk, a local female-owned clothing brand and much much more. The space is for fans to connect, compete, and showcase their love for the Carolina Panthers.
Curated Tailgate Bar:
The GirlGate Tailgate Bar, hosted by Craft Tasting Room & Growler Shop, will feature Female brewed local craft brewery Pilot Brewing and for cocktail enthusiasts with our Beverage Director, Amanda Britton, has curated an Espresso Martini and Mimosa bar, as well as a mobile spritz cart.
Craft Beer Showcase:
Celebrating the contributions of female-led breweries in Charlotte, South End GirlGate is partnering with Pilot Brewing, a female Co-owned and female brewed craft beer.

As part of our commitment to making South End GirlGate an annual tradition, Craft Tasting Room & Growler Shop announces that the South End GirlGate event schedule for future seasons will be released when the official 2024 Carolina Panthers schedule is posted.
