In 2012, Jared Campbell decided to run up and down Salt Lake City’s Grandeur Peak for 24 hours, to raise money for air-quality advocacy work. The following year, a few friends joined in. The next year: even more. After 11 years, Campbell’s solo project has morphed into Running Up For Air (RUFA): a worldwide movement with dozens of races, hundreds of runners and tens of thousands of dollars raised around the globe. This is a story about how running builds community that can jumpstart change far beyond the trails.

Join us at Patagonia Charlotte on Tuesday, May 14 at 7pm for a screening of Running Up For Air. Following the screening we'll have a discussion about the film and how we can take action. Members of local environmental non-profits Clean Aire NC and Sustain Charlotte will be joining our discussion panel.

We've got the snacks and drinks covered, just bring yourself!

Want to get involved with RUFA? Head to Strava to learn about the Running Up For Air: Clean Air Vert Challenge—a virtual event that harnesses a global running community in support of organizations working to improve air quality.
